Websites, divorcees, and background checks. Oh my!
"Can you draw a picture of the backyard of the house
You grew up in, can you remember how it smelled?"
Not much has been happening lately on the dating front. The past couple months I've been working hard on developing a website for a local birthing center. Mostly I've been plugging away, not going out with friends.
A friend of mine just informed me that he and his wife are separating. I'm going take him out sometime soon. This separation will not be good for him at all. His wife is what kept him on the straight and narrow. He actually mentioned to me that if it wasn't for her he would spend all his money on beer and strippers. And he wasn't kidding. Now he's got a great job, so hopefully that will keep him in line.
I have a possibility of dating someone in the near future. She went through a rough time with her ex-husband, and is now very picky of who she dates. I was told that if we go out, she will do a background check on me first. I've got nothing to hide, but it still feels weird that someone would go to that extent. I guess her ex was a real bastard. She's a friend of one of my friends, so I get am receiving the whole story and tips on what to and not to do. She seems sweet, and is a third year law student. If it works out, maybe I can become a kept man.
Until next time:
"Tonight I'll be the super me."
"What if the super you meets the super her and the super her rejects the super you?"
"Then it's no problem."
"Uh-huh. Why?"
"Because it was never you, it was just an act. I live my life like a French movie, Steve."
